| Nothing Sacred Book Two Of The Messiah Trilogy Tom Flynn Imprint: Double Dragon Genres: Science Fiction, Fantasy Available Formats to Download: MOBI EPUB MS Word PDF MS Reader RTF CLICK HERE to get told when further books by this author are published This sequel to Flynn's acclaimed Messiah Games continues in a future civilization that's obsessed with religion, yet furious at Terra (Earth) for giving rise to the most popular creeds of all.
Terra may be the planet where humanity originated, but sophisticated Galactics treat it like a dismal step-child. "On the planet where humanity rose," a popular saying goes, "it hasn't risen far."
Few Terrans seek their fortunes among the stars. Those who try face patronizing discrimination. Into this Galactic crucible leaps Earth-boy Gram Enoda alongside an impossibly intelligent vibrionic sidekick: his secret weapon and the bane of his existence. Enoda just wants to get rich. Instead he stumbles into a top-secret, half-baked plan to (yes, literally) save the Galaxy. Along the way he must confront a crackpot Mormon trideevangelist and a seductive preacher of nihilism.
Like Messiah Games, Nothing Sacred brims with complex plotting, searing black humor, colorful characters, and penetrating examination of religious and philosophical issues??"all woven into a can't-put-it-down techno-thriller.

| Tom Flynn Messiah Games Book One Of The Messiah Trilogy Tom Flynn Imprint: Double Dragon Genres: Science Fiction, Fantasy Available Formats to Download: MOBI EPUB MS Word PDF MS Reader RTF CLICK HERE to get told when further books by this author are published In 2344, Terra is the most backward planet ever granted membership in the Galactic Confetory. It has two exports: the consumingly immersive medium called "senso" ? and Earth religions, which jaded Galactics just can't get enough of.
From the planet Vatican, Roman Catholicism teaches that God sends his Son to world after world. The Church levies vast fees to reveal which of each world's historical religious figures (if any) truly Incarnated the Cosmic Christ.
Then a famed mathematician calculates where God will send his son next ? a ruined planet where most offworlders are forbidden.
A lascivious Cardinal ? a bumbling Mormon trideevangelist ? a vengeful planetary mining magnate ? everyone wants a piece of the newest Christ. Never mind that the man himself is a conscious fraud who can't control his closest followers.
This tour de farce builds a complex future world, confronts classic issues of faith and "infotainment," and spews mind-numbingly horrendous puns. A must-read satire!

Angus is at the end of his tether. He used to know who he was and what
he was doing. He had purpose. Now after having found his wife in bed
with another woman he is lost. This is a fine piece of work. It's
written with wit and humour and full of mystery and questions. Has
Angus actually managed to kill Seonaid, his wife? The body has
vanished. Why is the beautiful Phoebe claiming to be visiting the
village for the first time when most of the locals seem to know her?
Who placed the Deadly Nightshade plant on the mantle piece while they
were out? Who put the sea snake venom in Angus’ bottled water?
Angus knows only too well that the sixties gave the women liberation.
They no longer view themselves as the Second Sex. You mess with their
head, they will mess with yours. Now Angus is getting his head screwed
with big time. Read on, I loved it.

| Hong on the Range William F. Wu Imprint: Self-Published Genres: Action/Adventure, Westerns Available Formats to Download: MOBI EPUB MS Word PDF CLICK HERE to get told when further books by this author are published In this science fiction satire of westerns, after the American West was destroyed in a series of biological disasters, rebuilding it is a lot like building it in the first place, but there are crucial differences. For example, new, partly mechanical cattle with computer brains are called steerites. They speak and sing a lot more than the original steers.
Most of the cowboys, outlaws, and lawmen are partly mechanical, too, except for those few humans called control-naturals. That group has to keep all their original equipment, just like the original cowboys. |
