 | STORY DESCRIPTION Dr. Peter Bernard, a tenured professor at Loyola University finds himself unable to continue ignoring what had once been referred to as "an old wives' tale" from his youth, namely the one that postulated that if you had a fall in a dream and hit the ground before you woke up that you would die as possibly being more than just a folk tale.
After humble beginnings in rural Mississippi, living with his grandparents after a tragedy took the lives of both of his parents, Peter embarked on a long and unexpected journey culminating in earning a PhD in psychology with a keen interest in biopsychology and parapsychology. With tenure having been granted, he finally succumbed to the idea of actually putting the old folk tale to a scientific test and see if it was actually true or not, using himself as the experimental subject.
Come along with Peter as he, along with his grad student assistant, Melissa Garrity, perform the research project to get an answer once and for all. Is it just nonsense as Peter is convinced of or did the experiment result in Peter's ultimate demise?
| Author information: Craig grew up in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley in central Virginia??"the "real Virginia"??"and migrated by circumstance into a career in molecular biology research. His natural love of animals never left him through the years and you will find this influence in most all of his writing now. His writing efforts evolved later in life fueled by a strong desire for creativity with ideas often originating from dreams. Unlike many other authors, Craig does not seem to focus in a particular genre, but writes in a variety of areas as new ideas present themselves. Besides basic animal themes, you will find his writing touching on the spiritual, magical, and supernatural at times.
Craig lives Tulum, Mexico now with a very demanding wiener dog, Maddie.
