EXTRACT FOR The Ultimate Ghostwriter (Craig M. Sampson)
It had been a long a torturous path ever since Stephanie had finally found what she considered her true calling professionally. She had never imagined all the twists and turns that would appear along her way...some good as well as bad...but as she pondered where she had finally landed, she marveled at how content and satisfied she had been...until the last 6 months or so anyway. Since childhood she had been an avid reader, but the idea of actually creating things for others to read had not really been on her radar. But over the last 5 years or so that is just what she had found herself doing...and with a high degree of success.
But when she collided with her first bout of writer's block, she felt a panic fill her that she had never encountered in her life. Her publisher was breathing down her neck for her most recent submission which had gotten severely delayed and she felt lost. With nowhere else to turn, Steph had reluctantly accepted help from a woman she wished now that she had never met. Initially it had felt like a life preserver, but as time had gone on the lifeline now felt like the biggest mistake of her life. And unless there was some divine intervention or some miracle from some unknown benefactor, Steph was certain she would never have to worry about writing anything again...or doing anything else as well...
