Excellent, a real ripping-yarn Victorian spy romance, with plenty of
wicked sadists, naked damsels, original twists, and inventive
scenarios. The story is unusually well written and paced for this
genre. And the dialogue is far superior to the usual leaden,
predictable stuff. First rate. 5 out of 5 (huffward)
